Tina Harvey is a lecturer at the University of Cumbria where she lectures on the BSc (Hons) Children and Young People’s Health and Wellbeing and BSc (Hons) Health and Social Care programmes. Tina also lectures on two of the Integrated Foundation Year modules, which led her to becoming an executive committee member of the Foundation Year Network. Her research areas within higher education currently have a specific focus on developing strategies to help support students to successfully transition from the foundation year to level 4, which complements her research interests in the widening participation agenda and personal tutorial practices. Alongside this, her research is heavily underpinned by understanding the student experience so this can help inform practice. Tina also researches in areas that include the pedagogical practices of assessment and feedback and promoting the use of feedback in order to help students to develop and progress their academic skills. She is dedicated to student success and understanding how evolving educator practices can empower students to achieve.
